Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Patient Care Assistant to support patient care activities under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. The ideal candidate will assist with patient examinations, monitor patient conditions, maintain clinical areas, and help ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic patient care and clinical procedures as directed by nurses or physicians.
  • Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for examinations and treatments.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, height, weight, and EKGs.
  • Assist with specimen collection and basic lab-related tasks as assigned.
  • Monitor patient status and report changes to the nursing team.
  • Clean, disinfect, and restock examination rooms and patient care areas.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Support team members as needed to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of supervised clinical experience within the last 2 years.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a healthcare team environment.
  • Current health documentation, including required immunizations and TB screening, as applicable.
  • Positive professional references preferred.
